Her works often highlight moments of weakness, acknowledging her interest with the strength found in vulnerability. More recently observing the dual nature in the masks held by many to conform or survive in society. Working with Oil, acrylics and Pigments, Pownall's art is habitually centred around colour and texture found in nature. Angelica Pownall's work is in continuous metamorphosis as it relies on her need to learn and gain understanding through communicating on the canvas.
